Stress and Anxiety
Anxiety & Overthinking
Perhaps you have a busy mind and have thoughts such as:
What if?
Did I say the wrong thing?
What if something goes wrong?
Should I have done that differently?
What do they think of me?
What if I can't cope?
Sometimes anxiety is trying to tell us something.
It might be connected to pressure, expectations, relationships, past experiences, uncertainty, confidence or the way you've learned to cope with difficult situations.
Counselling gives us space to explore what your anxiety might mean for you — rather than simply trying to make it disappear.

Workplace Stress & Burnout
You might be managing the workload. Meeting the deadlines. Turning up and getting on with it.
But underneath, you might be exhausted.
Perhaps you're constantly thinking about work when you're at home, struggling to switch off, feeling overwhelmed by responsibility or finding yourself becoming anxious about going into work.
Maybe you're dealing with a difficult colleague, manager or working environment.
Or perhaps you've reached the point where you're wondering:
“How long can I keep doing this?”
Counselling can give you somewhere to step outside the pressure for a while.
Together, we can explore what's happening, how you're responding to it and what you might need.
That might involve looking at boundaries, expectations, confidence, relationships, patterns of coping or simply giving yourself permission to acknowledge how difficult things have become.
Relationship Stress
Relationships can be complicated.
You might love someone deeply and still feel hurt, frustrated, disconnected or unheard.
Perhaps you're having the same arguments repeatedly. Maybe you struggle to communicate what you need. Perhaps you're constantly trying to keep the peace.
Counselling isn't about deciding who's right or wrong.
Sometimes it's about understanding what happens between you and another person — and understanding yourself within that relationship.
What do you need?
What are you afraid of?
What do you find difficult to say?
What happens when conflict arises?
And what happens to you when you're trying to keep a relationship together?

Everyday Stress & Overwhelm
Maybe you're feeling:
-
Mentally overloaded
-
Constantly busy
-
Unable to relax
-
Irritable or emotionally drained
-
Like you're always behind
-
Guilty when you take time for yourself
-
Tired but unable to switch off
-
Like you're functioning rather than living
-
Overwhelmed by small things
-
Unsure what you actually need
You don't have to wait for a crisis
Counselling isn't only for moments when everything has fallen apart.
Sometimes you come because you're tired of feeling like you're barely keeping everything together.
You want some space to stop, breathe and understand what's happening before you reach that point.
