Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on 31st December 2025.

At Relating To You I am working to make the site www.relatingtoyou.com and my therapy room at 16 Castleton Road Southend SS2 4UD accessible to people with disabilities.

Relating To You is committed to providing an inclusive and respectful service. I aim to ensure that as many people as possible can access counselling and wellbeing support, and I recognise that accessibility needs vary from person to person.

This statement outlines the accessibility of both face-to-face and online counselling services, so you can make an informed choice about what works best for you.

Face-to-Face Counselling

Face-to-face counselling sessions take place at my personal residence. While this setting offers a quiet and private therapeutic environment, there are some physical access limitations that clients should be aware of.

Access and Environment

  • Parking is available on the road outside the property

  • There is a step up to the pathway leading to the house

  • There is a step up into the house

  • The counselling room is located up one flight of stairs

  • Unfortunately, there is no step-free or wheelchair access

  • A bathroom is available for client use if required

Due to these factors, the premises may not be suitable for individuals with certain mobility needs.

Online Counselling

Online counselling is available via Zoom and may be a more accessible option for clients who:

  • Have mobility difficulties

  • Experience chronic pain or fatigue

  • Prefer not to travel

  • Require greater flexibility or comfort in their own space

Online sessions are conducted in a confidential and private setting. Clients are encouraged to use a quiet space and headphones where possible to support privacy.

If Zoom is not accessible for you, alternative arrangements (such as telephone sessions) can be discussed where appropriate.

Individual Access Needs

I recognise that accessibility is not one-size-fits-all. If you have specific access needs or concerns, you are warmly encouraged to contact me before booking so we can explore whether:

  • Online counselling may be more suitable

  • Adjustments can be made to support your participation

  • Another service or referral would better meet your needs

My intention is always to work collaboratively, openly, and ethically in your best interests.
