Accessibility Statement
This statement was last updated on 8th January 2026.
At Relating To You I am working to make the site www.relatingtoyou.com and my therapy room at 16 Castleton Road Southend SS2 4UD accessible to people with disabilities.
Relating To You is committed to offering an inclusive, respectful, and accessible service wherever possible. I recognise that accessibility needs vary and aim to be transparent so individuals and organisations can make informed choices about engaging with services.
This statement outlines the accessibility of face-to-face, online, group, and workplace wellbeing services.
Face-to-Face Counselling
Face-to-face counselling sessions take place at my personal residence. While this provides a quiet and private therapeutic environment, there are some physical access limitations.
Access and Environment
-
On-street parking is available near the property
-
There is a step up to the pathway leading to the house
-
There is a step up into the house
-
The counselling room is located up one flight of stairs
-
Unfortunately, there is no step-free or wheelchair access
-
A bathroom is available for client use if required
Due to these factors, the premises may not be suitable for individuals with certain mobility needs.
Online Counselling
Online counselling is offered via Zoom and may be a more accessible option for those who:
-
Have mobility or access difficulties
-
Experience chronic pain, fatigue, or health conditions
-
Prefer not to travel or require flexibility
Sessions are delivered in a confidential setting. Clients are encouraged to use a private space and headphones where possible.
Alternative formats, such as telephone sessions, may be considered where appropriate.
Online Meditation Groups
Meditation groups are delivered online and may offer an accessible way to engage in wellbeing support.
-
Sessions are accessed remotely via an online platform
-
Participation can take place from a location of your choice
-
Clients are welcome to sit, lie down, or adapt posture as needed
-
Cameras may be optional depending on the group format
If you have sensory, cognitive, or accessibility needs related to group participation, you are encouraged to make contact in advance so suitability can be discussed.
Workplace Wellbeing Services
Workplace wellbeing services may be delivered:
-
Online
-
At workplace premises
-
In group or individual formats
Accessibility for workplace services will depend on the location, format, and nature of the service being provided.
Organisations are responsible for ensuring that workplace environments are accessible to their employees. Where services are delivered online, accessibility considerations are similar to those outlined for online counselling and meditation groups.
I am happy to discuss reasonable adjustments in advance with organisations to support accessibility wherever possible.
Individual Access Needs
Accessibility needs are individual and may relate to mobility, sensory needs, neurodiversity, mental health, or other factors.
If you have specific access requirements or concerns, you are warmly encouraged to contact me before booking or commissioning services so we can explore:
-
Whether online services may be more suitable
-
Possible adjustments or adaptations
-
Whether an alternative service or referral may better meet your needs
My intention is always to work openly and ethically, with your wellbeing and access needs in mind.
