1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of this website and to all services and products provided by Relating To You, owned and operated by Catherine Taylor.

By accessing this website, booking services, purchasing products, or participating in groups, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or services.

2. About the Services

Relating To You provides a range of wellbeing and therapeutic services, which may include:

  • One-to-one counselling for adults (face-to-face and online)

  • Counselling for children and young people

  • Therapeutic play sessions

  • Couples counselling

  • Clinical supervision and professional support

  • Online silent wellbeing groups

  • Workplace wellbeing services

  • Training, workshops, and wellbeing consultations

  • Digital content and physical wellbeing products (including handmade journals)

Services are supportive and therapeutic in nature. Outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Services do not replace medical care, psychiatric treatment, or emergency/crisis support.

3. Website Use

This website is provided for general information purposes only.

You agree not to:

  • Use the website unlawfully or in a way that may cause harm

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems

  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute website content without permission

I reserve the right to amend or remove website content at any time without notice.

4. Accuracy of Information

Every effort is made to ensure information on this website is accurate and up to date. However, no guarantee is given that content is free from errors or omissions.

Website content does not constitute medical, legal, or therapeutic advice outside of a formal service agreement.

5. Booking and Engagement

All services must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.

By booking or engaging in services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and honest information

  • Engage respectfully and appropriately

  • Adhere to agreed boundaries, policies, and ethical frameworks

I reserve the right to decline, pause, or terminate services where it is professionally, ethically, or legally appropriate.

6. Counselling with Children and Young People

Counselling and therapeutic play services for children and young people are delivered in line with safeguarding legislation and ethical practice.

  • Consent is usually required from a parent or person with parental responsibility

  • The willingness and engagement of the child or young person is central

  • Participation is voluntary wherever possible

  • Confidentiality is respected, with clear limits where safeguarding concerns arise

Information shared with parents or carers is handled sensitively and in the best interests of the child or young person. Full details are outlined in the Privacy Policy and Informed Consent available at www.relatingtoyou.com

7. Couples Counselling

In couples counselling, the relationship is considered the client, rather than either individual partner.

By engaging in couples counselling, both partners acknowledge that:

  • Information relevant to the relationship may be discussed in joint sessions

  • A no-secrets approach applies to information that impacts the relationship

  • Confidentiality applies within professional and legal boundaries

Couples counselling is subject to the same safeguarding, confidentiality, and termination provisions outlined in these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

8. Payments

  • Online counselling sessions must be paid 48 hours in advance

  • Face-to-face counselling sessions are payable at the end of each session, unless otherwise agreed

  • Fees for silent wellbeing groups, workplace wellbeing services, training, and products are clearly stated at the point of booking or purchase

Failure to make payment may result in cancellation or suspension of services.

9. Cancellations and Missed Appointments

  • A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule individual counselling sessions

  • Sessions missed without sufficient notice are charged at the full rate unless otherwise agreed

  • Missed group sessions (including meditation groups) are not refundable or transferable

10. Online Services

Online services, including counselling and meditation groups, are typically delivered via Zoom.

While reasonable steps are taken to ensure privacy and security, no online platform can be guaranteed to be completely secure. By engaging in online services, you acknowledge and accept these limitations.

If technical issues occur, reasonable efforts will be made to continue the session by alternative means where appropriate.

11. Online Silent Wellbeing Groups

Online silent wellbeing groups are offered to support wellbeing and self-care and are not a substitute for counselling, psychotherapy, medical treatment, or crisis support.

By participating, you acknowledge that:

  • Participation is voluntary

  • You are responsible for your own physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing

  • Silent space may bring up thoughts or emotions, and you may pause or stop at any time

Access details must not be shared. Respectful behaviour and confidentiality are expected. I reserve the right to discontinue access where behaviour is unsafe or inappropriate. No refunds will be issued in such circumstances.

12. Workplace Wellbeing Services

Workplace wellbeing services may include counselling, group sessions, training, workshops, consultations, or bespoke wellbeing support.

These services are subject to:

  • Availability

  • A written agreement or contract outlining scope, fees, delivery, and cancellation terms

Once services have been delivered, they are non-refundable.

Employer Responsibilities

Organisations are responsible for:

  • Providing suitable access and environments

  • Communicating clearly with employees

  • Ensuring participation is voluntary

Relating To You is not responsible for organisational decisions or outcomes.

Confidentiality

  • Individual confidentiality is maintained

  • No personal information is shared without consent unless legally required

  • Organisational feedback is anonymised unless agreed otherwise in writing

13. Confidentiality and Safeguarding

Confidentiality is a core part of all services and is explained fully in the Privacy Policy.

Confidentiality may be broken where required by law or where there is a serious concern regarding the safety of an individual or others.

14. Accessibility

Accessibility information is provided in a separate Accessibility Statement. Clients are encouraged to review this before booking and discuss any access needs in advance.

15. Intellectual Property

All website content and materials are the intellectual property of Relating To You unless otherwise stated and may not be reproduced without permission.

16. Physical Products

Physical wellbeing products, including handmade journals, are provided in good faith. Minor variations may occur due to the handmade nature of items.

Refunds and returns are managed in line with the Refund Policy and statutory rights.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any contract formed between you and Relating To You, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

You agree that any dispute, claim, or legal proceedings arising out of or in connection with services provided by Relating To You shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, regardless of where you are located at the time services are provided.

18. Termination of Services

Either party may terminate services at any time.

Services may be terminated where:

  • Fees remain unpaid

  • Agreements or boundaries are breached

  • Continuing services are not clinically, ethically, or practically appropriate

Where appropriate, alternative support or referrals may be offered.

19. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The most current version will always be available on this website.
