Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Refund Policy outlines how refunds are handled for services provided by Relating To You, owned and operated by Catherine Taylor.

Relating To You operates an appointment-based service, and session times are reserved specifically for each client. For this reason, refunds are limited and subject to the terms below.

2. Counselling Sessions Face to Face Sessions

​

  • Counselling sessions are non-refundable once delivered

  • If a session is cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice, no charge will be made, or any payment already made may be transferred to a future session

  • Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, are charged at the full rate and are not eligible for a refund

 

3. Online Sessions

  • Online sessions must be paid 48 hours in advance

  • If sufficient notice is given, payments can be transferred to a rescheduled session

  • No refunds are issued for missed online sessions unless exceptional circumstances apply (see Section 6)

 

4. Therapist-Initiated Cancellations

​

If I need to cancel a session:

  • You will be offered a rescheduled session at no additional cost, or

  • A full refund for that session if rescheduling is not possible

  • ​

5. Packages, Blocks, or Pre-Paid Sessions 

​

Where sessions are purchased in blocks or packages:

  • Refunds are not issued for partially used packages

  • Unused sessions may be transferred to future dates within an agreed timeframe

  • Packages are non-transferable to other individuals

6. Exceptional Circumstances

​

Refunds may be considered at my discretion in exceptional circumstances, such as:

  • Serious illness

  • Bereavement

  • Unexpected emergencies

Each situation will be considered with care and fairness.

7. Digital Products and Online Content

​

For any digital content or downloadable materials:

  • Refunds are not available once access has been granted or content has been downloaded

  • This does not affect your statutory rights under consumer law

  • ​

8. How Refunds Are Processed

​

  • Approved refunds will be made using the original payment method

  • Refunds will be processed within a reasonable timeframe

 

9. Statutory Rights

​

This Refund Policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
