Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Refund Policy outlines how refunds are handled for services provided by Relating To You, owned and operated by Catherine Taylor.

Relating To You operates an appointment-based service, and session times are reserved specifically for each client. For this reason, refunds are limited and subject to the terms below.

2. Counselling Sessions Face to Face Sessions

​

  • Counselling sessions are non-refundable once delivered

  • If a session is cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice, no charge will be made, or any payment already made may be transferred to a future session

  • Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, are charged at the full rate and are not eligible for a refund

 

3. Online Counselling Sessions

  • Online sessions must be paid 48 hours in advance

  • If sufficient notice is given, payments can be transferred to a rescheduled session

  • No refunds are issued for missed online sessions unless exceptional circumstances apply (see Section 8)

4. Weekday Meditation Groups

​

  • Payments for weekday meditation groups are non-refundable.

  • If you are unable to attend a session, refunds are not offered.

 

5. Workplace Wellbeing Services

​

Workplace wellbeing services may include counselling, training, workshops, consultations, or bespoke wellbeing support for organisations.

  • Fees for workplace wellbeing services are agreed in advance and confirmed in writing

  • Once a service has been delivered, no refunds will be issued

  • Cancellations made with sufficient notice (as agreed in the contract or proposal) may be rescheduled where possible

  • Late cancellations or failure to provide access to staff or facilities as agreed may result in the full fee being payable

For ongoing or contracted workplace services, refund terms will follow the specific agreement in place with the organisation.

 

6. Therapist-Initiated Cancellations

If I need to cancel a session:

  • You will be offered a rescheduled session at no additional cost, or

  • A full refund for that session if rescheduling is not possible​

 

7. Packages, Blocks, or Pre-Paid Sessions 

​

Where sessions are purchased in blocks or packages:

  • Refunds are not issued for partially used packages

  • Unused sessions may be transferred to future dates within an agreed timeframe

  • Packages are non-transferable to other individuals

​

8. Exceptional Circumstances

​

Refunds may be considered at my discretion in exceptional circumstances, such as:

  • Serious illness

  • Bereavement

  • Unexpected emergencies

Each situation will be considered with care and fairness.

9. Handmade Journals and Physical Products

​

Relating To You also offers handmade journals and physical wellbeing products.

  • Handmade journals are non-refundable once dispatched, unless faulty or damaged on arrival

  • If an item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact me within 14 days of receipt with details and, where possible, photographs

  • Where a fault is confirmed, a replacement or refund will be offered in line with consumer rights

  • As journals are handmade, minor variations in appearance are part of the nature of the product and do not constitute a fault

This does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

10. Digital Products and Online Content

​

For any digital content or downloadable materials:

  • Refunds are not available once access has been granted or content has been downloaded

  • This does not affect your statutory rights under consumer law​

 

11. How Refunds Are Processed

​

  • Approved refunds will be made using the original payment method

  • Refunds will be processed within a reasonable timeframe

 

12. Statutory Rights

​

This Refund Policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
